Cure quality is very important in regards to liner strength. It will make a huge difference in the durability of the installed product. Ambient processes do not control the cure and therefore do not control quality.
Formadrain controls the cure and has been steam curing since 1994. Advanced testing was done on samples to make sure the cure time is optimal providing our clients with the best cure.
Our equipment was developed in a cold climate, where steam cure is a must for productivity and year-round work. It can produce 80 psi of steam in less than 5 minutes. This allows our resin to have a 4-hour working time. Therefore, even if the work is done in a warm environment, ambient cure systems will tend to cure very quickly. With Formadrain, there is no stress. Once the Formapox 101 and Formapox 301 resins are mixed, installers have 4 hours to put the repair in the pipe, usually way more than what is needed. Even with this huge working time, the liner is perfectly cured 100% of the time.
Steam cure also allows us to develop state-of-the-art resins like Durapox. This resin has a 60-day pot-life and cure within 1,5 hours with steam. Whether you’re in a remote location or would like a pre-impregnated liner shipped-out ready to go, Durapox is the answer.
For more than 20 years, Formadrain has been the leader in steam-cure technology, the most ecological and economical pipe lining process.
